Here are print-ready and downloadable PDF files of the new hymns as they are being released digitally. This is not an official website of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In preparation for the new hymnbook, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is releasing digital editions of new hymns here. Each hymn is downloadable to its own PDF file and without numbering.
Below are links to PDF files with the hymns numbered and grouped together. Church units and members can uses these PDF files to print the hymns on paper using double-sided printing, which has blank pages inserted where necessary, then bind them into books. See the FAQ below for binding tips.
These files will be updated as the Church releases new hymns, which can then be printed and inserted into existing printed hymns.
These files are also available in Spanish. Estos archivos también están disponibles en español.
Feel free to share this site to others who may be interested. For questions or comments, or to be added to my email list for announcements as new batches are released, send an email to garysna@gmail.com.

These PDF files are set up to print double-sided on 8.5" x 11" paper then folded in half and stapled in the middle. These are broken into volumes so that it doesn't get too thick for folding and stapling and so that not all of the previous hymns need to be reprinted to insert new hymns.

Batch 5 - ????
I anticipate updating this site within one week after a new batch is released.
It is anticipated that there will be a total of 7 batches with an approximate total of 70 hymns released ahead of time before the printed hymnbook becomes available mid-2027.
We used the following information to help us determine how to bind these books. It is estimated that about 70 hymns will be released in advance. At the rate things have been so far, with many two-page hymns and blank pages inserted, I estimate there will be about 70 sheets of paper (140 pages double-sided printing) when done. When updating with a new batch, a new Table of Contents page will need to go in the front, and the new hymns inserted in the proper places near the back.
If your copier in the library has a USB port, printing from a USB drive produces cleaner copies than making copies of paper copies printed elsewhere.
Some units print enough to distribute throughout the chapel and leave them out. Others print just enough for those who don't want to use their devices. In that case, they are gathered up afterwards and kept in the library or on a hymnbook shelf for any ward in the building to use.
What we did is that we are using comb binding for our books. Our stake bought a comb binding machine which can be used to make the books and then open the comb again later to add new sections. We used a black vinyl back, a clear vinyl front, and 1/2" black combs. We printed the cover page and the About page double-sided at a local copy shop in color on 28 lb paper. We printed all the other pages double-sided using building library black & white copier/printers on regular 20 lb paper. As new batches are released, we will print the new set, then use the comb machine to open the comb and insert the new pages.
As of the fourth batch, there are 86 pages printed double-sided on 43 sheets of paper. The front and back covers are equivalent to 6 sheets of 20 lb paper, so about 50 sheets total. The 1/2" comb can hold about 90 sheets, but we have seen that with the repeated opening to insert new pages and closing, it gets tight and difficult to insert the comb. We'll probably switch to 5/8" black combs soon. There are also 3/4" black combs if you're using 24 lb or 28 lb paper.
For the color version, only the cover page is in color. We printed the cover page and the About page behind it double-sided using a color printer at a local print shop. We printed the rest on black & white printers in the building libraries. In the monochrome version, the cover page is black and white allowing that to be printed on a black & white printer.
Some units are using 1/2" 3-ring binders with sheet protectors. I have created two binders with sheet protectors to be used by the chorister and organist/pianist. I've inserted the color cover page in the clear, outside pocket of the binder.
Buying enough 3-ring binders and sheet protectors for the whole congregation would be expensive. Sheet protectors can be eliminated by punching three holes in the paper. Other units have used folders with three metal, foldable prongs, but those won't stay open easily. Also, it might be tight to hold 70 sheets of paper.
For the first batch, some units printed the hymns in booklet form, folded them in half, and stapled the middle. But new batches can't be inserted in those. What I have provided here are multiple volumes. Volume 1 has the first two batches. Volume 2 has the third and fourth batches. When I added the fourth batch to Volume 2, that whole Volume 2 had to be reprinted, including the third batch portion. But Volume 1 did not need to be reprinted. As new batches are released, I'll follow the similar pattern.
Two types of booklet files are provided, the 1-up format and the 2-up format. The 1-up format is useful if submitting to a commercial printshop because they will format it for 2-up booklet. The 2-up format has two pages per page, with all the pages in the right location so that when the set of pages are folded in half, it will line up as a book.
This stapler or this stapler can be used to staple the middle of the folded booklet.
This is an excellent question. Yes, I have obtained permission from the Church to post this content in this manner. I had to agree to a few things, such as not charging for this, not using the Church's logo, and stating that this site is not an official site of the Church.
