Here are print-ready and downloadable PDF files of the new hymns as they are being released digitally. This is not an official website of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In preparation for the new hymnbook, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is releasing digital editions of new hymns here. Each hymn is downloadable to its own PDF file and without numbering.
Below are links to PDF files with the hymns numbered and grouped together. Church units and members can uses these PDF files to print the hymns on paper using double-sided printing, which has blank pages inserted where necessary, then bind them into books. See the FAQ below for binding tips.
These files will be updated as the Church releases new hymns, which can then be printed and inserted into existing printed hymns.
These files are also available in Spanish, French, and Portuguese.

Initially, it was anticipated that there would be a total of 7 batches with about 70 hymns. With the delay of the printed book, the Church now says there will be eight batches total. As of the sixth batch, 72 hymns have been released.
Batch 1 - Hymns 1001-1009 and 1201-1204, 13 hymns, released 30 May 2024
Batch 2 - Hymns 1010-1018, 9 hymns, released 12 September 2024
Batch 3 - Hymns 1019-1031 and 1205-1206, 15 hymns, released 13 February 2025
Batch 4 - Hymns 1032-1041 and 1207, 11 hymns, released 12 June 2025
Batch 5 - Hymns 1042-1051 and 1208-1209, 12 hymns, released 18 September 2025
Batch 6 - Hymns 1052-1062 and 1210, 12 hymns, released 26 February 2026
Batch 7 - Estimated May or June 2026
Batch 8 - Estimated later in 2026
I anticipate updating this site within one week after a new batch is released.
Using what we knew then, we estimated 70 hymns using 70 sheets of paper, with many two-page hymns and blank pages inserted. Currently, after six batches, there are 72 hymns using 61 sheets of paper (122 double-sided printing.) The Church estimates another two batches which would take us to about 95 hymns and 82 sheets of paper.
If your copier in the library has a USB port, printing from a USB drive produces cleaner copies than making copies of paper copies printed elsewhere.
Some units print enough to distribute throughout the chapel and leave them out. Others print just enough for those who don't want to use their devices. In that case, they are gathered up afterwards and kept in the library or on a hymnbook shelf for any ward in the building to use.
Our stake is using comb binding for our books and we bought a comb binding machine which can be used to punch the holes and open the combs to add the pages. As new batches are released, we use the machine again to open the comb and add new pages. We used a black vinyl back, a clear vinyl front. We started with 1/2" black combs but, with 61 sheets of paper and still two more batches, we have now swapped to 3/4" black combs.
We printed the cover page and the About page double-sided at a local copy shop in color on 28 lb paper. We printed all the other pages double-sided using building library black & white copier/printers on regular 20 lb paper.
For the color version, only the cover page is in color. We printed the cover page and the About page behind it double-sided using a color printer at a local print shop. We printed the rest on black & white printers in the building libraries. In the monochrome version, the cover page is black and white allowing that to be printed on black & white printers.
Some units are using 1/2" 3-ring binders with sheet protectors. I have created two binders with sheet protectors to be used by the chorister and organist/pianist in our building. I've inserted the color cover page in the clear, outside pocket of the binder. Some units are using 3-ring binders without sheet protectors and are using pre-punched three-hole paper. Other units have used folders with three metal, foldable prongs, but those won't stay open easily. Also, it might be tight to hold 80 sheets of paper.
Each batch comes with an updated Table of Contents page. This goes in the front of the book. New hymns are then added at the back of the 1000 section and the back of the 1200 section.
For the first batch, some units printed the hymns in booklet form, folded them in half, and stapled the middle. But new batches can't be inserted in those. What I have provided here are multiple volumes. Volume 1 has the first two batches. Volume 2 has the third and fourth batches. And Volume 3 has the fifth and sixth batches. When I added the sixth batch to Volume 3, that whole Volume 3 had to be reprinted. But Volumes 1 and 2 did not need to be reprinted. As new batches are released, I'll follow the similar pattern.
Two types of booklet files are provided, the 1-up format and the 2-up format. The 1-up format is useful if submitting to a commercial printshop because they will format it for 2-up booklet. The 2-up format has two pages per page, with all the pages in the right location so that when the set of pages are folded in half, it will line up as a book.
This stapler or this stapler can be used to staple the middle of the folded booklet.
I started with English. I received requests for Spanish and since I know Spanish, I did that too. I also got requests for French. I decided to also do French and Portuguese. These four languages are the primary languages for the advance release. Other languages are available but on a later schedule than the primary four. My process for building these files, and updating them with new batches, depends on these languages being in sync. As such, I will not be taking on any other languages.
This is an excellent question. Yes, I have obtained permission from the Church to post this content in this manner. I had to agree to a few things, such as not charging for this, not using the Church's logo, and stating that this site is not an official site of the Church. If you need a copy of the written permission, let me know, garysna@gmail.com.
A commercial printshop noted that my permission clearly shows permission to post these PDFs files, but it does not clearly authorize the "mass" printing of these PDF files. On this page of the Church's website, About This Collection: Hymns—For Home and Church, are three videos. In the first video, Message from Elder Dale G. Renlund on the New Hymns, he states the following:
"Some of the hymns will be less familiar to many members of the church. For this reason the First Presidency and the Twelve have directed that some hymns be released in advance of the publication of the completed hymn book. ... Families and congregation around the world should begin using all these hymns right away. Many wards and branches have done this in exemplary ways. Please continue to do so."
In the third video, New Hymns at Church, it states the following:
"In the meantime, not every member will have access to the digital sheet music. Wards will provide these members with printed copies of any new music or songs."
All three videos show printed copies of the hymns, including used by several members in a congregation.
In addition, the Church's newsroom published, How wards and stakes are learning about and using the new hymns, which states the following:
"Many wards or stakes have printed out the words and music to each new hymn and placed them in folders or three-ring binders for the pews."
This indicates the Church approves making printed copies of these hymns.
